A new season of the Ohio River Series is well on its way! This year has a new group of fast guys following the series with guys like Bill Connard, Chad Wallace, Scott Heatwell, David Osborne, throw in the guys from last year, and each tracks "hotdog".........you have the making of an exciting series!
After Rd1 it was clear the truggy class had a new group of guys to watch, Chad Wallace, and Bill Connard. Chad had a bad start to the main in Parkersbrug, but came from last place to win the race. Bill lead the frist part of the race up untill that noise we all don't want to hear......DIFF FAILURE! Also new to the truggy class this year is Billy Swag, Casey Bias and Cy Wilson both making the A-main. Billy went on to finish 3rd.
The buggy class had its fair share of racing as well, but saw the same race just different cars. Bill and Chad battle the first part of the race but in the end Bill stunk up the show by winning by two laps. Casey Bias ended up 3rd.
2WD truck has Billy picking up right were he left off last year....fast! As he pickeded up the TQ but didn;t win the main as Tim Grey is going to give billy a fight this year.
Rd 2 everyone knows that when they go to TCRC you are going to race with some very fast locals. With myself having to sit this one out I wasn't able to stay for all the action. But heard it was great racing. As you look at the results you begin to see a pattern.......Bill and Chad.
RD 3 had some very fast and close racing. With the road runner crew giving us a great track to play on and the weather staying nice and cool, what more chould you ask for.............A-MAIN WIN!!!!!!
That a-main win was going to be hard with the fast drivers signed in for this one. The buggy class saw some locals like GUS, and a few new guys to the series like Brian Hoss, Chad Belcher, Scott Stoffer we were looking at maybe a little differant finish than the first two RDS. After the dust settled the a main win went to local fast guy Gus, with Brian, and Bill not far behind.
The truggy class had some close races all day long as David Osborne looking to making it a three man race for the series win. David went on to win by a full lap over Chad and Bill. Eric Spelock finished on the same lap as Bill with his best finish of the series 4th.
2WD truck saw a whole new feild of drivers. With last years points winner Billy out of this one with truck failer, the race was open for somebody to make up some ground. Trophy went on to win by two laps over Rocky Carr, and Shawn Reed. Tim Gray finish 5th and made some ground up on Billy. If Shawn races the next two RDS we could have a show down in this class.
A big thanks goes out to all the track crews in the first three RDS. Tracks were great to race on! The series heads south to Beckly,WV for RD 4 as this will be one of Becklys' first races of the year on a brand new race track! Can't wait!!!!!
